Air Shade 3.0

Awesome shelter. I have been through a number of traditional 3x3 steel framed shelters and have always had issues with the fabric section failing and rendering the whole thing unusable.

My search for the perfect shelter has ended!

Many of my fellow seasoned campers scoffed that it was inferior to all their gazebos, but guess who's gazebo stood strong with no need to be collapsed for rain and wind, or covered with huge tarps to stop it becoming a kite? Yep, ours!

The 3.0 was good for the teens to put their swags under, but I have minor regret I didnt size up to the 3.5 to give them a smidgeon more space between them. So if you plan on two single swags on stretchers, go 3.5 is my advice.

Also, the packed down size is amazing, its light and easy to carry. Im all about the compact camp items.

We will never buy a steel framed gazebo again.

* Lightweight and compact compared with a traditional metal-framed gazebo, so it’s much easier to carry and pack.

* Quick to set up. I originally thought an electric pump would save effort, but the supplied manual pump is actually easier and more efficient. A built-in pressure gauge is also really helpful for knowing when it’s properly inflated.

* Solo setup is possible, but tricky. On my solo camping trip, it was difficult to set up alone. Luckily, someone helped by holding up the Air Shade ceiling while I inflated it. Next time I’ll try inflating it upside down to see if that makes a one-person setup easier.

*One lesson learned: I should have brought the side walls as well. The sun moves throughout the day, and extra shade would have made a big difference. Eventually, I ordered the wall-set already for my next trip!
