Air Shade 3.5

I did a research before buying. There are a few gazebos on the market, but they are either not waterproof (purely a sun shelters) or too heavy. I found Quest Air Shade, and it ticked all the boxes for me. It is relatively light (8kg vs 11 kg for a lightest non-waterproof alternative), packs more compact and is waterproof.

There is also an add-on ecosystem, which allows you to even link multiple gazebos and link them into a multi-room camping station. I bought one set of optional side walls (2 walls). May actually buy another set to have the gazebo fully enclosed.

Tried it in a park Putting it up took jut 15 min. Actually, took longer to wrap it and put back into the bag :-)

The bag itself is spacious enough to fit the wrapped gazebo without a problem, unlike some dome tents which don't fit into their own bags. Once set up, the gazebo feels sturdy enough once guy lines are stretched.

So far, very happy. Yet to battle test it.

I’ve been travelling for over three weeks now in North Qld with this air shade and it has seen all sorts of weather. It has withstood extremely high winds when my tent has crumpled and has had no problems at all. I’m incredibly impressed and rave about it to anyone that will listen. Fantastic product. It’s lightweight, easy for one person to quickly put up, even in the wind. It expands your living space and makes camping so much more comfortable and possible to do for extended periods of time without feeling like you’re living completely in the elements. Particularly if you’re tent camping. But I think this would be perfect if you have a van as well, I’m surprised I’m not seeing more of them around. I bought a set of fairy lights for it, and it’s quite magical at night. The air shade is easily the best purchase I made for this trip. Love it!
